    Best protien drink?

Is this a good protien drink?

Two scoops of 'York Muscle Powder Formula'
    1 egg
Water (I read that water is better than milk)

Is that ok, it adds up to about 25gms of protien, and I have that twice a day, when I wake up, and just after a workout.

If my drink isn't ok, what could I do to make it better?

    Thanx.

raw eggs are no good. all of the proteins are not made available until the egg is cooked...
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

Ok, how about instead of the egg, adding an extra scoop of the protien shake.

Also, would it be ok to add some milk to the shake, cuz without it it tastes horrible.

Is there anything else I could add to get extra protien too?

    Thanx.

only 25g protein in the shake? for 2 scoops? must be small sized scoops!!
what are your goals? (asking in terms of the milk-not the best choice when trying to loose bodyfat).
also what are your stats? 25g protein for one 'meal' isnt much.

Try an MRP and then add a scoop of flavorless protein. Personally I love Muscle Milk Chocolate Bannana Crunch with two scoops of whey protein. Delicious!

LOL. Good lord. With an avg. of 18 grams of fat per serving, no wonder everyone says Muscle Milk tastes so good.

Another reason to avoid raw eggs is a protein called Avidin, which is found in raw egg whites. It binds to biotin and prevents its absorption - chronic ingestion can lead to hairloss and other unpleasent side effects. Obviously one raw egg isn't chronic ingestion but be careful.

My goal is to bulk up a little, and lose the stubborn bodyfat from around my stomach and my ass.

Get some good whey protein. There is anywhere from 15-25 grams of protein per scoop, and it is nearly pure protein. Also, you can throw in some nutritional yeast (I like brewer's yeast). There are 16 grams of protein in two tablespoons of brewer's yeast, not to mention a whole host of other nutrients. There is also egg protein powder available.

However, it is my opinion that whey protein shakes should only be used after a workout, and possibly when you first wake up in the morning. These two times are when your body needs fast absorbing protein the most. I prefer to eat food over shakes. I exclusively drink my shakes after workouts.
