    Question Vegies for carbs?

Hi all, I am planning to start a bulking phase soon. I am wondering, are vegetables (salad) sufficient as source of carbs? The salad would include greens such as lettuce, plus corns, bellpepper, tomato, avocado. I know that there are other sources of carbs such as rice, potatoes, etc., but I thought by consuming vegetables I would get the most fibers.

    Any advise is greatly appreciated.

You'll need to include both veggies for fiber and nutrients as well as complex starchy carbs such as oats, brown rice, sweet potatoes, bran, beans/legumes for energy. The vegetables dont contain sufficient amount of carbs to replinish or fill muscle glycogen stores->your fuel and strength for workouts.

complex carbs like lentils, blackeye peas, etc crush veggies in terms of fiber per serving...

vegetables provide very little carbohydrates, you would litteraly have to eat pounds of them to equal what you could get out of 2-3 cups of cooked brown rice or beans...

Thanks for all the advises. How about white rice, potatoes and white bread? These 3 are very common and very easily available where I am, but they are not mentioned. Are they complex starchy carbs and good sources for energy, or are they inferior for some reason?

White rice, white potatoes, and bread lack a lot of the nutrients you'd get from br rice, sweet potatoes, etc... I try to keep bread to a minimum, wheat or white. It loses a lot of its nutritional value due to processing.
But when you disarm them, you at once offend them by showing that you distrust them, either for cowardice or for want of loyalty, and either of these opinions breeds hatred against you.

    rice is a grain

stay away from the whities, i mean in terms of food, bread, rice, potatoes

And you would have to eat more vegetation then an elephant to get your carbs for the day, especially on a bulk,
