    Okay, So My Suitemate Told Me Today (Fruit)

    ...That slicing my fruit and topping my oatmeal with it is a terrible idea because the nutrients in fruit oxidise upon contact with air. Makes absolutely no sense to me, somebody affirm the fact that he is a retard.

    not just fruits but with most vegetables as well will oxidize when expossed to air. the key is to slice them and consume them ASAP. only the cut sides will suffer from oxidation so thicker is better.

    this is one of the reason why salad bars are overrated when it comes to nutrients. fresh salads are much better...
    I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

    So how do people feel about me slicing fruit and throwing it in my oatmeal a day in advance (which I do sometimes so I don't have to wait for stuff to cook in the morning)? I mean, what percentage of nutrients are we talking about here?

    The funny thing is my room mate has the worst diet ever, never exercises, barely eats fruit himself and survives on mac&cheese, toast, cookies, soda, deli meats and white rice.

    Yeah, tupperware and in the dark compartment of the fridge. I figured as much, I just think it's hilarious how my suitemate has gems like that to offer me when clearly he doesn't give two craps about his own nutrition.
