After my ab workout today, I had a Krave Energy bar (Kellog's) and 1 oz beef jerky (21 simple carbs and 19 protein), is this alright for an PWO snack? It was all I had at the moment :\. I tried to do the 1:1 simple carb/protein thing as best as I could.
Beef Jerky is soooo yummy. I don't see anything wrong with having is every now and then but drink plenty of water. However, none of that is good for PWO. That bar is horrible.
You are better off with whey and oats (or whey and dextrose if you wish to spike insulin)
Mmm...Beef jerky. I've been eating it too much lately. Its a good cheat.
