    I Can't Gain Weight?

    Alright... i'm prety new to the weight lifting but, i always thought it was easier to change muscle to fat instead of just gaining muscle alone off skin and bones. So i've been eating and eating constantly, egg whites, chicken breasts, tuna, steaks etc... today alone i had 4 bratts and 2 triple cheese burgers that i had to unstack because i couldnt fit my mouth over the damn things.... and I'm still only 145.6 pounds! oh im 5'11 by the way. When i go to lift i can see some gains but i think i would see more if i could acually put some weight on? Am i doing something wrong? let me know please Thanks

    startes fat doesn't turn into muscle you either gain one or the other, lose one or the other, or gain both and lose both. One doesn't turn into another. If you are young(teenager then your metabolism is going to be really high, so you are going to have to eat a ton to gain any) Exactly how many calories a day are you eating?

    Eat more.

    Still not gaining weight?

    Eat some more.

    Count your calories. If you don't gain weight after a couple of weeks, then increase your calories by 10%. Repeat this process until you start to gain weight. If you don't care about gaining some fat, then just start eating 25+ calories per pound of bodyweight. Also, make sure you are eating every 3 hours or so. That is extremely important to prevent catabolism and get a steady supply of nutrients throughout the day. Read the stickies, they help.
    The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...
