Egg whites vs protein powder

What would you suggest? Egg whites or protein powder?
The Egg Whites that i use are in a 250ml package and must be kept in the fridge and have a shorter shelf life and cost more. The pro powder on the other hand is easy to transport and cheaper. So does anyone think that egg whites are worth the effort? or should i replace that meal with the powder to get the required pro?

I only use whey directly after workouts. As well, I usually reserve egg whites for breakfast. Both proteins are absorbed by your body relatively quickly in comparison to other protiens. Post workout and first thing in the morning are probably the two times at which your body needs to get nutrients into it faster than any other time. I try to use proteins that stay in my system longer during other times throughout the day.

I agree. I was giving thought to the convienence (no refrigeration for the powder needed) and the cost (the egg whites carton costs twice as much). While both have the same amount of protein.
But thanks for all the input.
