    Canned Yams

    I know that canned yams arent as good as the ones you bake but when i remove the syrup and just nuke em like that how much of the syrup do you think is still in it?

    Not sure but I wouldn't eat them. Usually the add brown sugar to those

    I would assume a ton of syrup is still in the. those things are loaded with sugar. just take a raw sweetpotatoe, puch holes in it with a fork and nuke it....same effect, better for ya.

    yeah i eat a couple sweet potatoes a week but when i go to the store ill usually get to many and end up throwing some away so i get the canned. I figure there still better then french fries and that junk.

    I'd go with french fries over the canned sweetpotatoes.....just way to much syrup and sugar for me.

    Canned beans (chickpeas, lentils, etc.) might make a more acceptable non-spoiling quick carb.

    Just bake them man! There are other alternatives too: brown rice, barley, lentils, etc.
