To Refeed or not to Refeed?

I usually eat only slightly less than my bodyweight in calories every day. I weigh in at about 196 right now (Down from 200); I probably eat about 160G of carbs per day. I have lost just slightly over a pound per week thus far. However, I would rather tackle the slow-down in fat loss that may arise before it happens. I have cheated maybe twice so far (3 weeks and 2 days into cutting), and they did happen to be somewhat carb heavy cheats. So, I may have refed myself a couple times without even realizing it. Also, I am currently weight training 4 days per week. I will resume doing cardio the other 3 days per week when my sprained ankle heals. Should I be refeeding? If so, I assume every 5 days or so?

The frequency of your re-feeds will probably depend more on what your bf% is as the leaner you are the quicker you will deplete.

Assuming that I have lost no muscle mass, I should be at about 13.5% body fat. Is this too high to worry about refeeds?

I usually feel pretty well energized. Energized enough that I can play basketball for 2-2.5 hours straight. I sometimes take a 30 minute nap during the day, but that is pretty much only when I get under 7.5 hours of sleep.

CowPimp in the same situation as you, I to have been consuming just under mybodweight in carbs. Its been two weeks like this for me and although I wake up leaner everyday im planning a refeed for this sunday. I figure it will give me that little boost, and I can lower even more carbs that next week.
