Flax caps for on the go

Hi I mostly use Udo's oil blend to get my EFAs, but am wondering if its a good idea to get Flax caps so that I can get in a Protein+Fats meal when I'm at work? If so, how much? I have some lying in my cupboard that is 1000mg with 50% Alpha linolenic acid. Should I jsut buy nuts?

    Thanks in advance.

    Flax oil vs flax oil

What is the difference??? I went to the local nutrition store to pick up some flax seed oil. Actualy had to ask for it's locatin in the store! I was suprised to find all they had was capsules? So before I bought any I figured I would ask here first whats the difference?? I deffinitly got the impresion from the posts that I have read about flax seed oil here that The recomendation was flax seed oil not flax seed oil capsules. So what is the difference if any and is the oil straight better or the capsules better. I have herrd that the oil straight tastes nasty? any coments welcome!! Thanks John

I prefer fish oil because its a better source of EPA/DHA and a hell of a lot cheaper.

The difference is that you have to pound down 14 capsules. That, and the caps do not oxidize since they don't come into contact with air.

As Jodi said, if you are gonna get EFAs, fish oil is prolly better anywho.

But what about caps versus straight oil??

So is capsules vs straight oil just a personal thing?? Seems like every one is using one or the other. I was just wondering because There is a discount vitamin store a mile from my house and I can get bouth suplement real cheep but they only seem to cary both flax and fish oil in capsules. Are they ok too use or should I find a retailer who caries straight oil??? Im just curious weather there is a difference in results Oil vs capsules? Thanks John

Read this (pay attention to the third paragraph):

I usually use both. I have some flax in the fridge if I need it and I have a bunch of bottles of fish caps for when I am out and about. I prefer the caps to the flax now a days for the reasons metioned and convience.
