    Your favorite meal before training.

After experimenting with various pre-workout meals, I've found that my most enduring sessions came after eating about 3/4 cup of steamed brown rice and a 6oz steak, then I wait about 2 hours before training. My endurance is greater plus my muscles seem to respond better.

i really only like protein shakes 40 minutes or so before a workout- along with a lot of caffeine-

If I eat too much, or too heavy of a meal, I end up feeling weak and preoccupied

Usually Do my normal meal schedule, start training an hour before my next meal. Then the meal right after training is like scoop or two of whey in water, creatine and 30ish grams dextrose.

I was thinking of this very same topic to post ha...I want to see what other people get their best resutls with

Right now I'm experimenting with a cup of lentil soup (I love it), 4 oz beef extra lean beef with garlic and jalapeno peppers mixed in it and a slice of whole wheat toast...or instead of the beef, just chicken, I've even thrown tuna in there and it tasted really good.

I've gotten a pretty good pump and had good energy throghout the last 2 times I had this, had it again just like 20 minutes ago, ama see how it goes.

If I'm not feeling my best, I also tend to have 2 cups of green tea 30 minutes before the workout

1 cup dry oatmeal, 1/2 cup blueberries, 1 tbs. walnuts, 3 oz. chicken about an hour and a half before followed with an apple about minutes before.
I have to be a little bit hungry when i lift or else i feel like blowin chunks

depends when I train... if its after meal 1 its normally oats and eggwhites and hour and a half or so before.

later in the day it might just be a shake and a peice of fruit an hour before. or a shake w/added EFA's an hour before as well. nothing too heavy or filling.
I find having veggies in my preworkout meal makes me too full feeling.
