hmmmmm I question how much you have cut back on carbs and fats... that may not be wise.

dieting doesnt have to be torturous if you enjoy the foods you eat

How the heck do you do that JLB?!

I said I had to cut back some-not all, atherjen. I miss my macaroni, my pizza-oh god do I miss that!
I do get my oatmeal once a day-as well as some other stuff. But I dont like not being able to eat what I love-cookies, pizza, Italian bread...etc.

haha! I was on a gaining cycle for the longest time, and recently cut out all of it. Like a somker and cold turkey. It worked, I lost 34 lbs since December. I was a fat batard at that time. Now I am merely 16 lbs away form my contest weight. I see traces of my abs and have veins popping in places I never had before. Plus I need new clothes which sucks. But it outweighs a lot of negatives.
Carbs were my secret weapon to gaining a lot of poundage. I got up to 278 I'm kind of tall) and started dropping weight when my suits didnt fit anymore. It was almost embarassing. I used to get nervous going on the elevators (heh)

LMAO....Yeah, but even when I was dieting I ujst did it! You know what you have to do so just do it and stick with it. Don't cheat yourself. that is why I said suck it up.

But in my defense, even when not dieting, I still eat the same foods. Just more of them. (*reaches for cookies :o )

You just do what ya gotta do! Gotta suck it up! But then afterwards..omg, bad news!

I do have to be in the right frame of mind for cutting, otherwise it can get the best of me. I'm a bread addict and cookie addict, so it can be extremely difficult!

There are alot of ways to stay sane during a low carb cut, or carb cyle...

Certain low calorie foods that taste like they should be cheats but aren't will keep you from devling into cookies and ice cream. I.e. Sugar free life savers, only 3 carbs each, comming from sugar alchohol...Certainly nothing that will inhibit your condition, provided that you dont go crazy with them. Also sugar free jello, made of 1 g of protein.

I also find that buying whey that taste like it should be carbs helps phsychologically, like nectar.

Other than that, maybe pick up some leptigen, or, as aforementioned, "suck it up".

Why do you go on a gaining cycle, then later, cut? Still learning, just curious.

ewwww atherjen you sound like my freakin wife!!! She's great-she backs mne up a hundredn percent. Love that woman!! But you're both right. Aforementioned "sucking it up" has begun and all bitching and moaning is out of my system.

BTW-Sugar Free jello kicks major ass.

Finally, the reason why I went on a gainer cycle is becuase I am natural and I believe in doing it the old school way-get big first, then slice the fat off. I ama tall guy and when you are kind of tall in my family, you dont gain much weight quickly. Rather it gets converted to muscle easily. It took me three years to gain a lot of poundage. But cutting up was alot easier. I have had incredible luck with the Anabolic Diet. A diet geared towards BBs-I strongly recommend this diet and the book (by Dr. Mauro DiPasquale).
