Do you eat before an early morning run?
Hi all,
I like to do my cardio right out of bed before I start my day. I always eat a generous breakfast after my run, but I'm not sure if I should eat before the run. If yes, what would you recommend to eat? Fredi |

Depends on if you are trying to burn off some fat. If you are then I wouldn't eat at all before your run.

empty stomach cardio is completly over rated IMO (for "fat burning" benefits). If I do early morning sprints I have a small protein shake w/ small fruit or just the shake.
I could never run, sprint or any type of cardio without something in my stomach.. get far too light headed and nauseus feeling.

I always eat just regular honey bunches of oats before I run in the morning, Seems to work fine, although it might not be the best thing to do
