I just eat a regular meal. Usually 2 turkey burgers on whole grain bread before I train.
How glycemic are everyones pre workout meals?
I have always done super low glycemic...like oats or pasta. (Even though I knew I could go a bit higher)
I am considering doing dex+whey... Or maybe if I make it solid foods, something like ww bread with natural jelly +whey...
any ideas?

I like eating my english muffins with some eggwhites and FF cheese![]()
You really dont need a high GI food pre w/o. It would help to sip something with dextrose during the w/o, though... and obviously for post w/o.
My english muffins are not High GI .. they sprouted
Sprouted with what?

you DONT want high glycemic pre workout... you want complex carbs for a steady flow of energy during your workout. Sure the high GI carbs will cause a rush of energy, for a short period, then it brings you down and feel wiped.
low GI carbs + protein preworkout. or depending what time of the day even EFA's+protein.

I think those sprouted muffins and breads GI are lower than the brown rice or oats
oatmeal fuels me well

i normally have a bowl of cereal with fruit - fairly low in fat and cals and good source of carbs. i also find a drink with high caffiene content is good for a bit of kick b4 i start cardio.
