    Which Fishies?

Ok, so I want to buy fish oil caps, but I'm not sure which ones to get.

    I want them to be:

    A) Affordable (aka cheap)
    B) Molecularly Distilled (they don't all specify )
    C) Not disgusting.. my gag reflex is too strong
    D) Available in stores, if possible
    I can do it

    I WILL be a size 5.

Costco sells them for 6.99 for 300 caps. The Kirkland brand was tested by Consumer Reports and found to be one of the best.

Some have "enteric coating" that keeps the caps from digesting until they reach the small intestine. That way, there is no fish taste/smell/burps, etc. I get the Sam's brand called "Member's Mark". Does anyone know about the quality of their fish oil caps? I don't have a Costco membership.

Some of them using the enteric coating scare the hell out of me. I'm not too fond of the different polymers used and I think its safer to use the standard gel cap.

I use to use Sam's club brand until I got my Costco membership. They always seemed fine. I just read alot more about the Costco brand and how good it is.

the one thing i hate about fishies.... they mean eating a little less food. if i have 10 a day then there's 10 grams of fat accounted for that i didn't get to enjoy.

that's why i've only been taking 6 but I'm going to increase to 10 and probably cut out a tsp of beloved pb.

Vitamin E acts as a powerful antioxidant by neutralizing free radicals in the body that cause tissue and cellular damage. Vitamin E also contributes to a healthy circulatory system and aids in proper blood clotting and improves wound healing. Some studies have shown that vitamin E decreases symptoms of premenstrual syndrome and certain types of breast disease.
Other studies have shown that taking large doses of Vitamin E has decreased the risk of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD). Animal studies have suggested that vitamin E does slow the development of atherosclerosis, but the American Heart Association doesn't recommend using supplements until the effects are proven in large-scale, carefully controlled clinical trials.

    Sources of Vitamin E
    Wheat germ
    Vegetable oil and margarine
    Avocado
    Whole grain products
    Egg yolk
    Nuts
    Liver
    Peanut butter
