

im trying to bulk up and i know i need to eat alot of protein but ive heard everything from 1gram per pound to 2.5 grams per pound whats the best amount to take. i have an ectomophic body frame. also how many calories should i take per day and how many from fat. right now i wieght 130 and get about 5/6 meals a day and 210 grams of protein and about 4500 calories a day and about 900 from fat.

IMO you should aim for a minimum of 1g protein and up to 1.5g/lb /lb bodyweight(some even suggest per lb LBM) . Personally I do not see the need for anymore than that. You not only need protein but a balance of complex carbs and healthy fats as well in your diet to build muscle.
Your current calorie intake sounds fine, if your not gaining on that amount, then increase by 200 or so each week until you see weight gain.
