Is there a way to gain muscle but stay at the same bf %? I dont really want to bulk up but I want to gain muscle and I hear that is the only way to do it.

it is possible but very hard. you basically have to count every single calorie and keep a great log. to dial in the diet likes that takes time, months as you need to find out how much over maintenance you need to gain weight the take bf readings. then you need to drop cals very slowly until you get to a point where you are still gaining LBM but no bf.Originally Posted by Dahkid

As mentioned above, a clean and controlled diet. However it is quite difficult to put on absolutely no fat in the process. But thats what cutting cycles are for.
