Will eating more in the evening instead of during the day make me fat?

i've started doing my workouts earlier now, so i will have just 2 meals, workout then a PWS and then 4 meals after

thing is today i woke up late (11am) as i was out at the club till 3am last night, so i ate at 11:30, 2:00, pre wo shake @ 4:00 and hit the gym at 5:00, so now it is like 7:45 and i need to eat another 4 (small) meals, is this okay or should i cut out 1 of them?

bear in mind i am bulking, but soon to be cutting would this still be okay cutting? (obviously it will just be 4 portions of protien when cutting)

sorry all this talk about eating your dinner after 6pm makes you fat is confuzing me, i'm about to eat 4 meals after 7pm!!

    plz help

    thanks

Your body does not 'run by the clock' and immediately 'turn food to fat' after a given time

Although there is a slight metabolic advantage to eating your foods during the day (your insulin sensivity is higher in the mornings, and your bodies daily hormonal rhythms are set up to deal with foods during the day and to slightly 'slow down' your metabolism during the evening) there is no reason why you can not eat your meals when YOU need the energy - no matter what the time is!! If your body is up and active, then you will need to supply it with the appropriate fuel.

Plus, just altering when you eat for one day is not going to make a difference.

As to how many more meals you should eat - well, I would base it on when you are going to go to bed!

If you have already had your PW shake then I would make sure you at least have a GOOD post-workout meal (probably carbs and proteins) before you head to bed. If you can squeeze it is, then a protein/fat meal before would then be a good idea. However, if you have time to eat your other meals (spaced appropriately) then there is no reason to not eat them.

If you are concerned about hitting your required calories (as you are bulking), then simply increase the protions of your meals slightly so you still hit a good calorie intake for the day.

The same goes for if you are cutting... You still need good post-workout recovery and a good pre-bed meal. The only thing that should really be different at this time is your overall calorie intake for the day should be lower and possibly (depending on how you like to bulk/cut) your macronutrient ratios for the day will be different...
