    cutting - when to stop

When you guys are on a cut, when do you decide to stop? Do you plan a cut for a number of weeks, stop when you actually look cut, or when you cant stand it anymore? I tend to stop when I like the results I get.

PS I was going to make this a poll but I cant figure out how, someone want to fill me in?

I dont cut. That way I dont have to worry about starting or stoping.

No, usually its when i see the results but sometimes i just get fed up and switch it up.

I make a goal bodyfat/weight guideline which I estimate will satisfy me. However, I use the mirror to determine if I want to stop cutting sooner or later.

I did the same for my last cut but I decided to cut it short, I prefere more strength and mass over a thin lean structure so I am just bulking until I get the size I want. I know once my bulk is over though I'll set another mile marker for me to hit and judge from there how much longer I want to cut for.

Set realistic goals and do what you have to to achieve those goals. Then change your goals and switch modes. Listen to your body, and be patient.

I did the same thing. I planned on cutting another couple of weeks, but I was pleased with my results and couldn't wait to get bulking again. That is why the mirror is the best way to judge, unless you have extreme self-esteem and visual body dysmorphia issues which might cause you to go beyond what is healthy.

I usually cut for about 8 weeks when I do. Just set a goal. I think the lowest bodyfat I've ever had was about 9 - 10%. I was really unhealthy, too. I look better between 11% & 13%.
