    Question Best Oat/Protein Shake

I know there are lots of posts on various threads concerning this, but I am confused. If I want to use oats as my carb source with my protein (milk isolate), should I use raw ground up whole oats, oat bran, oat flour, etc? Will it mix smoothly and the oats soften? Any advice is appreciated.

Any oats are fine just as long as they are un processed slow cooking good ol' fahioned type. I use to just either throw my whey, water, and oats in a blender or simply throw the oats in the shaker with whey and water and eat it like a cereal almost.

Also if you put the oats in the shaker with the protein they will soften very much, this is why I say I use to eat it like a cereal.....

Yeah, I either eat it like ceral (pouring the whey overtop the oats) or blend it together in a blender.

2 scoops WPC, 1/2 cup whole oats, 1/2 banana, 25 grams maltodextrin is one of my favorites....

I will be using a shaker, and won't have access to a fridge as it will be a regular on-the-go meal at school. So, I have to mix it first and add water at meal time. It isn't for post workout, just meal replacement. I'd prefere it to be be mid GI, not high gylcemic. I guess I could use finely ground whole oats and just chew.
