    Put iron and the body into a search engine, something's bound to come up. In fact, i'd imagine there's a website dedicated specifically to such a thing.

    But i'll give you a head start - Not enough iron = bad, too much iron = bad.

    Heme = Iron

    Your blood has hemeglobin in it.

    Also you may want to cross reference chlorophyll and poly-porphorin rings (sp?) for transport in living things.

    Also ask yourself what is a function of all ions in the body?

    Another question you may want to ask yourself is what would happen if you had an ion that had the same charge but tighter bonding cleaved to a transport site?

    Lots of clues in there.
    Good luck.

    The exception to that may be Vitamin C. Reference: Linus Pauling
