    Your average calorie per day...

I just wanted to know what everybody's average calorie per day and how much do you weigh. Me, I'm around 3000-3500 calories average and 230 lbs.

    Let's see some input.

I can go overboard sometimes but that's average. During the weekends, it can go as high as 4000 but pretty much during the week, it stays 3000-3500 cal. No, I'm trying to bulk.

That's only for maintenance calories. I also wanted to know the average calories of the entire population. That helps me where I'm at and my goal; but I know for the fact that each individual is different.

Vieope, its hard to get more than 3500 calories sometimes especially that I'm going to school full time and work 4 days a week. Its difficult but that 3500 calories is the base of my diet which is at least what I'm getting per day. I'm 6'1-2 btw just for the extra info but yes it does work for me as I've been experimenting with my diet long enough to know when to stop eating a lot of calories, etc. My plan is to keep my weight 230 and just keep moving up.

I was eating everything in site for a couple of months..all healthy food of course. I was trying to gain some muscle..seems i've gained about 3-4lbs or so..which is ok I guess. At that time I'm thinking I was at about 3000 calories a day.

Now I am trying to lost bodyfat and doing a lower calorie diet. I just eat 6 small meals a day. No counting calories, fat or carbs. I just make sure they all balance out. Sure, it's called that body-for-life way of doing thing. I'm sure you're all sick of that type of thing now, but it works great for me. I did add up a few of what I ate each day and it came to about 2000-2200 or so. I lose up to 2lbs a week and do no cardio. Just weight train for an hour 4 days a week alternating between lower and upper body. Just basic stuff for now. I'm down to 15% BF from 22.6%

    Ohh yeah..i'm 15% BF at 215lbs.

I do that same thing and pretty much trial and error. I count calories once in a while if I'm not familiar with the food and read food labels and that gives me a good estimate of some of my calories. There's no such thing as 'perfect' counting but you get pretty close to it. My motto is to keep it clean, well-balanced, enough calories...then train hard.
