Hows this "All natural post w/o shake"
My brother wants to start lifting but does not want to buy any supps, I insisted he need a good post w/o shake and we have come up with this:
16oz. skim milk 1 banana 2 tbsp. of peanut butter 500 cals, 23g protein, 48g carbs, 16g fat (from pb, only 3 saturated) |

Will the peanut butter actually mix?
Why not buy some whey powder? |

Does he realize that whey protein is good, lol....what's his problem w/ it?
Taking into consideration the other thread referenced and the fact he doesn't want a protein supp, he'd have to take whole foods, which will obviously not be absorbed as quickly, however, if he's brand new to training I bet he could eat just about any combo of carbs/protein and still gets those newbie gains, lol. I would go w/ a fruit smoothie w/ yogurt and milk + some high gi carb of some sort. Maybe add some pasturized egg whites (from the carton) to the shake? |

It's gotta have some steel in it to last. I have a cheap one at the office, but glass and steel at the house.
