Question I cant cut calories cause i lose too much size

I am about 5'9" 218 about 20% BF. I have been doing cardio now 20 mins 4Xs week. I east pretty clean. I researched that i need to cut calories to lose fat, but as soon as i get strict w/ my diet I lose all strength and size. I eat 5 meals a day. Protien i every meal, not over doing carbs.
why when i cut calories this happens?

i also weigh train mon-tues-thurs-sat. good size in muscle, not new at this.

That's weird. Maybe you're just a big guy, and cutting isn't for you. Try eating just your maintanance calories with a macro breakdown of 60/20/20 (protein, carbs, fat), and keep up with the weight training and cardio. Maybe bump up the cardio to half an hour?

im no expert and i dont know your exact goals but if you want to look solid then you have to get the fat off. if that means losing size so be it. after the fat is gone, build some quality muscle. you may look scrawny for a while but in the long run it will be worth it.

As far as i know, when you loose fat, you dont simply loose it from whereever you can feel it. You cant loose fat in a certain spot and retain the rest. You also loose some that is present intra/inter muscular. As well as some water which will result in a bit of size reduction. While your measurememnts might have gotten a bit smaller, you will tend to look a bit bigger as you muscles will stick out more when you get ripped.

I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

Do you start your workout at 12:30 or end at 12:30? Your pw shake should be consumbed immediately after lifting.

you need to start counting calories...your diet is also low in EFA's and other healthy fats...
