    Eggs in the microwave?

i'm yet to try this but i'm about to tomorrow morning, as i'm tryin to improve on my breakfast as for about as long as i can remember it has been whey and cereal (then whey and oats after a nutritional schooling when i joined ironmag forums)

basically i've heard about cooking eggs in the microwave (as i normally boil them in water but i don't like it much), so i'm gonna try this out? dose anyone else cook eggs in the microwave?

i like the idea coz it sounds really easy and i'm so rushed in the mornings

so if i mix 5 whites and 1 whole in a bowl, add a dash of lea perrins, and then nuke for 2-3 mins should that do the trick?

i'm still gonna have to take my oats for carbs seperate i guess?

anyone have any recipies or ideas to make this a bit nicer, OR any other morning egg recipies i can make in a couple of minutes?

thinking of maybe adding a bit of sliced ham to the mix, maybe some cheese or milk too? maybe a bit of chopped potato, i dunno what would work?

    any ideas are appriciated

I sometimes do that when im to lazy to cook anything. I crack 4-5 egg whites, onions, ham and pop it in the Microwave for about 2-4mins then put it between two pices of wheat bread and alittle ketchup and im good to go.

that sounds good man! i'm seriously thinking of that been my new breakfast along with half a whey shake and half a cup of oats, should be a great bulking breakfast a good 40g of protein from 2 fast sources, and i think the bread and whey is a good combo too for carbs, maybe add in a bananna and that will be the icing on the cake*

The first thing you need to do is get a Pyrex bowl to cook in. With a lot of the plastic bowls, a bit of the plastic will be in your food from cooking it in the microwave. Will it be a lot? Of course not, but as you will find this meal is so, so very easy - you may end up having this breakfast for a long time.

There is no need to have your oats separately. Just throw them in with the eggs and they will be cooked in the microwave. I make my breakfast the night before. I use 5 egg whites, one whole egg, 1 cup of dry curd cottage cheese, and 1/4 cup of uncooked steel-cut oats (with black pepper and fresh chives.) I also take a Tbsp of Flaxseed oil midway through the meal. It is the easiest thing. When I am getting ready for work, I pop it in the microwave, pull it out midway and stir (otherwise all of the oats will be at the bottom), and let it finish.
