    50/30/20 ok?

Im currently on a 50/30/20 p/c/f bulk and was looking around some sites and noticed that most of these guys say that you should eat alot more carbs during a bulk. Is this necessary, I dont have the highest metabolism and dont want to gain alot of fat on this bulk. Ive heard from everyone else that you should just eat what you did on a cut but just alot more. Am I thinking wrong here?

Stick to low GI carbs e.g. oats, 100% whole wheat bread, brown rice, sweet potatoes..etc. Stay away from white bread, most cerials and other processed carbs.

    yes you are thinking wrong

you need a lot more carbs on a bulk... carbs should be higher than protein like 'tryintogetbig' recommended

chances are that you are burning protein for energy, you need enough carbs to meet your bodys energy requirements so that protein can go towards building muscle, and of course healthy fats are essential

    so uppppp^^^ the carbs man!!

    I like 50/30/20 for bulking.
    I also like 40/30/30

It will probably work fine, assuming that split gives you the proper amount of protein and doesn't create a low carb diet scenario. I think exact macros are overrated. Although I sort of try to go for an isocaloric diet, I don't really try as hard as I should.

The rules to abide by, in my opinion, are 1-1.5g of protein per pound of LBM, 1.5g+ of carbs per pound of LBM, and at least 20% of your calories coming from fats. Anything based on those rules should give you good results.
