I think an equivalent amount of caloric intake from healthier foods is a better option. If you really need to use something like this, it is better than not getting a sufficient number of calories. However, you should at least try to make sure it isn't filled with sugar.
Of course, 16oz of milk, 2 TBSP PB, 1 cup of oats, and 2 scoops of whey in a blender is a much better homemade version of one of those drinks. It would containt a decent balance of the three macros, and contain nutrients not found in most weight gainer powders.
