LMAO....yeah, sweetpotatos are great no matter how you cook them (boil or bake). I just ate 1lb of sweetpotato for breakfast. Don't worry, I wasn't laughing at you. I would have posted that response to anyone.

That's almost a half pound (7 oz.). Sweetpotatoes are one of the better carbs. I love 'em.

    That was great!

Next time, wash it thoroughly and then leave the skin on - this is where a lot of fibre and other good things are!

You can also cook it a lot of other ways -
You can cut it into wedges and bake it in the oven - It is really yummy if you sprinkle over some cayenne pepper and cinnamon!
You can cut it into chunks and steam it
You can microwave it (you can actually do this whole - just poke some holes in it with a fork first - otherwise it will explode )

Depends on the power of your micro. I peel and chop them into small pieces. Place in a bowl and pour enough water to cover them. sprinkle some salt and then zap them for 4 mins. My micro is 1000watts.

If you are cooking it whole, then prick it all over with a fork first. And put it for a longer time on a lower setting in the micro. This way it will get cooked right through the middle.

Or - do it the simple way and take the guess work out altogether - just poke holes in it with a fork and then hit the 'Jacket Potato' button!

i cook up a bunch at once in the oven, throw them in the fridge and nuke it for about a minute or so and throw some cajun seasoning on em when i want one. Whenever i try to cook it from raw in the micro it comes out very dry, but baking then nuking to warm up keeps a lot of the moisture
