    Is Coke okay?

I'm just curious, lately i've been consuming a gallon of water a day with 24oz of milk to go with that.

As long as I keep this up is a glass or two of coke a day okay?

Depends on how serious you are. But in general, no. Tons of sugar (High fructose corn syrup), empty calories, carbonation... stay away.

A Scary Warning About Soda Pop

Soda drinkers, beware! Consume too many fizzy drinks and it could raise your risk of esophageal cancer, which is usually fatal.

A research team from Tata Memorial Hospital in India found a strong relationship between the rise in per capita consumption of carbonated soft drinks in the past 50 years and a documented increase in rates of esophageal cancer in the United States, reports Reuters.

Since 1946, consumption of carbonated beverages in the United States has risen a staggering 450 percent from 10.8 gallons per person each year to 49.2 gallons for each person by 2000. It may not be a coincidence that over the past 25 years, the rate of esophageal cancer has increased by more than 570 percent in white American men--and killed almost all who were afflicted with it.

The Indian researchers think this isn't a coincidence, citing a biological basis for the increase in esophageal cancer cases. Soft drinks cause the stomach to distend, which in turn causes the gastric reflux associated with esophageal cancer, reports Reuters.

The United States is not alone. Similar trends were found worldwide. Other countries with a per capita annual consumption of at least 20 gallons of soft drinks also had a rise in the rate of esophageal cancer. "The surprisingly strong correlation demonstrates the impact of diet patterns on health trends," study leader Dr. Mohandas Mallath said in a prepared statement.

Here's another reason to pay attention to how much soda you drink. It's what you drink--and not what you eat--that packs on the pounds. That's the surprising news from researchers at the University of North Carolina School of Public Health in Chapel Hill who determined that, on average, we're consuming 83 more calories a day from caloric sweeteners than we did in 1977. And 80 percent of that--66 calories--comes from soft drinks and sugary fruit drinks, reports HealthDayNews. If you think 83 additional calories a day isn't that much, think again. If you were to consume an additional 10 calories a day, in one year you would have gained a pound.

Go without coke for a month, and you will no longer feel inclined to have coke ever again. It's a promise.

I didn't have any pop for a year, and then Vanilla Coke came out so I tried it. Liked it. Went six months before another.

Studies have shown there is enough sugar in the average soda to shut down your ammune system for 8 hours. also if it has caffiene, whitch coke does, it will remove up to twice as much water from your system as it has in it.

Soda Is EVIL. Stay away from the soda

I haven't drank soda in almost 2 years. I stopped one day and never had another one. If you have to have 1 or 2 try either Diet Coke or the Coke C2 I believe its called.

I see nothing wrong with 1 or 2 cans of diet soda a day. It has not been proven to be dangerous to your health. And for those thinking about the aspartame, that is not that much in 1 or 2 cans to be concerned about. At the very worst, diet soda will make you retain a speck of water. Big deal!

Soda = no. In the past I wouldn't consume much, but once I got into working out, it is very rare that i'll have one. Water isn't so bad, but if you lack taste, try putting some drops of lemon juice into it. Not one filled with sugar...I am talking about those plastic lemons you can buy at the grocery store, with the green cap on top. Just put a few drops into your water, and it'll give it a bit of taste. I find this usually works for people who find water too bland.

I think drano is safer then coke. My kid did a science project where he soaked a bunch of teeth, "his dentist gave them to him", in all sorts of various liqueds. Of them all coca-cola ate the teeth away the worst. Just imagine what that rancid stuff is doing to your insides? Did you ever look at whats inside of it?

Your better off with coffee. At least thats natural...........Rich

    Coca-Cola.the sweetest Nectar

American highway Patrol in many States in equipped with two gallons of Cola to wash away blood from streets after accidents.
Place a piece of steak in a plate with Cola and wait. In two days it will no longer be there.
If you decided to clean your bathroom, pour one can of Cola into the sink and leave it there for an hour. Citric acid in the drink will soon destroy all stains.
To get rid of rust from the chrome bumper of your car, simply wipe it with tin foil soaked in Cola.
In order to clean a rusty bolt, simply soak your sponge in Cola and cover the bolt with it for several minutes.
In order to clean your clothes, pour a can of Cola right onto the entire pile of dirty clothes, add a bit of detergent and place it in the washing machine.
Cola can also be used to clean your windshield.

    Some facts to consider:

Phosphoric acid is one of the main ingredients of Coca Cola. Its Ph equals to 2.8. It is capable to dissolve your nails in 4 days.
Coca Cola is being transported in special trucks made of special rust-proofing coating.

Do you still crave for that can of Coke???
