    Thoughts on Natural Hormonal Enhancement?

I am looking to get some opinions on NHE (Natural Hormonal Enhancement), the diet by Rob Faigin. It's basically ketogenic style eating all of the time and then every 3rd or 4th night you have around 2-hour refeed/carb-up style meal. Basically your typical low-fat style meal.

The only reason that I ask is because I used it in the past with fantastic results. Any thoughts?

It's just another typical Beverly diet or a version of CKD. Nothing special. I read the book and it's alright but it's not any special diet or anything.

I have a hard time with normal calorie diets because of my tendency to binge. The idea behind NHE for me, mentally, was to cut back my food on the low-carb part of the diet and then during the refeed pig out like crazy on low-fat foods.

You need to fix the binging, not finding a diet that supports binging. Low carb diets are BAD for people with binging tendancies.

does anyone else here get fucking crazy, I mean I am fucking hungry and craving shit all the time, im sick of fucking around with tuna and food that makes me gag, I mean by all means I am not going to quit my diet becasue I love bodybuilding to much, but there is got to be a limit, I am going crazy here....I mean it is hard to explain, I am not cutting for contest, I am just cutting for fun and for summer, Just enough to see my abs (around 10%) But i am having a hard time with my cut this time, My house is full of shit food and I am craving it all the time...I have about 3-4 "cheat style meals" a week and there is nothing i can do about it, I am pissed all the time....but I can do it...I am at 12% right now, I am going to keep the same diet as I have right now...I am just going to add a bit more cardio and thats it...I think I can get down to 10% with a few cheat meals a weeks, and on a "normal" metabolism...anyone else relate to this ???

    Could not agree more.

You need to learn how to eat sensibly - not try to 'hide' or 'justify' your disordered eating by putting the name of a diet on it.

If anyone wants to find out more about NHE check out the book, or look on www.extique.com I believe it is. It's basically low-carb Atkin's style all the time. And then 2 nights a week you refeed, on low-fat high-carb foods. Makes sticking to the diet much much easier. I dropped around 35 lbs. on it in the past in a few months. Worked great.

Thanks bud! I don't know if I could go low carb like atkins style 5 days a week...thats ussually when I tend to lose it lol. I'll read up on it though. Just revised my carb cycling so I'll use that for a while since I spent all that time on it heh.

Let me know how you do with it DB. I am on NHE right now, and I feel better than ever. No cravings, etc. My size/strength has dropped some, but my midsection has also noticeably tightened up. I'm only on the 5th day.

Congrats on the progress brotha!! I have been crazy with everything going on and haven't had time for a schedual at all. And right now I'm very in-active b/c of my hurt shoulder....I've lost alot of strength thus far since I've been out about 2 months.

When I get enough time I will read through the entire site properly and check it out.

I have the same issues as you, Monstar. I go well on a diet, then about 3-4 days in, I decide that since I have been so good, I can go ahead and eat a pizza and 12 wings. As a result, I have not been under 205, which is my good weight, in about 2-3 years. I was 230 over xmas, but after pecking away for 3 months, I am at 210 now.

I just started ephedrine and now I am certain I will get down to about 200, I forgot how good of an appetite suppressant that stuff is. Maybe it could help with you, or maybe hoodia is the way to go. My binging is mostly psychological so I am kinda surprised the ephedrine is working.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.
