Just tell them to Shut the fawk up.You deserve your cookies and choc.
This is what was said to me today by a coworker....and I turned around and told everyone in my office that they needed to stop watching everything I put in my mouth and making announcement when I eat something "unhealthy".
Now before you conclude that I over-reacted....I go through this EVERYTIME I eat a cookie, have a piece of chocolate, etc. (which is EXTREMELY rare). Then there are constant remarks about how much cardio I'll do that night to burn it off. I'm am so f*$king tired of hearing these things. I'm in excellent shaped and I'm very muscular and lean. Who are these softies (who don't even know what the inside of a gym looks like) to be the food police....especially when they had 4 cookies for my one?!
I don't push my lifestyle on anyone. If my coworkers or friends ask me for training/nutrition advice, I'm happy to help them. But I never preach to anyone about working out or eating healthy. I go about my day and do my own thing.
Am I being too harsh here?
Does anyone experience this frustration?![]()

its called jealousy!
That's what I concluded. I felt like lifting up my shirt, flexing my 6 pack and saying "Now this is why I can eat a fucking cookie!" Probably not appropriate for the workplaceOriginally Posted by sara

Thats why I like my job , I work in a gym , so its actually common to eat healthy there ... But ya , just take a deep breath , look at your co-worker's keg(think about your lean abs at the same time) and then smile![]()
When a goal is reached comes satisfaction . You're accomplished as a person when you surpass those goals .
Make various remarks about your cardio efforts around friendly co-workers with the undersirebles listening. Mention how far you can run not just in distance but also length of time you can go. The average joe will not even be able to keep up with you and in his mind will now that you already own his fat ass. I think you can work it from there but the main goal is the get the retards to measure their sexual endurance against yours. It is a war of the sexes right? It'll be in their minds. I bet every under achiever in the place will feel inferior sexually.Originally Posted by Robin Hood
Not really a war of the sexes. People making the comments are female colleagues. The guys are fascintated with my training. They are the ones who ask me for advice.Originally Posted by BoneCrusher
I think its more of a jealousy thing. Not so much jealous of how I look, but that I have the discipline and the drive to look that way.
Frankly I think if you just simply challenged them to produce abs like yours they'd shut the hell up and crawl back to their holes and eat thier ho-hos in disgrace.
Aside from that a simple "spirit finger" pretty much says it all to them![]()

it might be fun to try and mess with your coworkers heads. like when they "joke" with you, just act really depressed and cut yourself down really bad. maybe they'll feel bad and stop it. then laugh at them when they get all empathetic.
unfortunately, women love to hate on other women. guys do it to other guys too, but in a different way. women are really good at that passive agressive bs. it's a jealousy thing, but they don't even know they're jealous, so you can't confront them on it... not that it would be a good idea anyway.
remember, people with self-confidence don't make fun of other people, because they don't have to prove anything... they already know theyre the shit![]()
My friends give me a hard time when I'm dieting and make a big deal if I try to eat sweets, I don't take it personally. It's done with a folksy attitude
"in the howling bleeding nights, the dogs plunge into the Volga and swim desperately to gain the other bank. The nights of Stalingrad are a terror for them. Animals flee this hell; the hardest stones cannot bear it for long; only men endure."
When I am dieting my co workers apologize for eatting bad stuff in front of me. LOL But when I'm not....we eat! They've come to understand that when its cheat day on my diet, we all eat baked goodies due to me doing the baking.
Alot of people do not understand the displine we put in to our choosen sport. We can practice self control when it comes to eatting certain things. Like that cookie, we could have just one, while they have to have the whole bag. That is what I do not get....why eat the whole damn bag?
i hate it when we have a "family party" and i show up and have the food on the table and then they all say " i thought you dont eat that stuff " and then i feel so stupid for ever wearing a tight shirt around their fat asses because they dont know shit about this sport and they think that bb dont eat anything.....
when im dieting people look at me crazy(even some of my closer friends)because they dont know what what type of dedication it takes to be on a diet. My family thinks im crazy as well, because on thanksgiving i ate a well rounded meal, not too much because i was starting to cut and i didint have any pie or any deserts or anything that was not in my diet at the time. and they sat me down and "had a talk with me" im only 17 but know what im doing and my dad was like "having a piece of pie with the family wont kill you." Thats when i got mad...he talking about eating pie and i come back with "why dont you go on a diet that lasts longer than a week" that shut him up, lol.
Just tell 'em to f*** off.

I can totally relate to that. My parents totally don't understand the bodybuilding lifestyle and they definitely don't think that I, as a woman, should be training my body this way. My mom is worried that I don't eat enough. I pointed out that I ate 6 meals a day. Then when I was cutting once, she gave me a big lecture on dairy and fruit and how I needed to eat them. I tried to explain that the cutting diet is a temporary thing and I will eat dairy and fruit again after. Her response "you don't need to get any smaller, why would you want to cut down your body fat more?" With my family, I am able to be more honest and explain things to them. They're saying things because they care and not out of jealousy or to be "caddy". Go easy on your family, and just try to educate them a bit more about the bodybuilder's lifestyle.

Thats when i got mad...he talking about eating pie and i come back with "why dont you go on a diet that lasts longer than a week" that shut him up, lol. Some people here seems to thrive on putting down people who have different priorities than physique building...I envy the people who are able to eat what they want and simply focus on other things. They are as passionate about their hobbies as much as I am about being in top physical condition for football...the perspective they have shouldn't be demeaned IMOand then i feel so stupid for ever wearing a tight shirt around their fat asses because they dont know shit about this sport and they think that bb dont eat anything.....

You're absolutely right. And like I said before, I don't force my lifestyle on anyone. And that's why it bothered me that coworkers need to make snide remarks all of the time. I don't crack on them....don't crack on me. To each their own...it takes all sorts.Originally Posted by Duncans Donuts
yeah i kinda wish I could just be completey comfortable around all foods, again but then I think about how big I used to be and how disgusting it was and I'm glad about how I am now. But I hate how everyone seems to have to ask questions or make comments about the food I eat and "inspect" my food when I'm eating. But I just try to ignore them and think bout how I would still look like their FATASSES!!
Out of curiosity, what are you stats? Are they low and thus your family has reason to be concerned?Originally Posted by Robin Hood
