Special K is the only cereal that has a low GI rating, w/ the exception of bran I think. I eat oats every morning.
It's Bran Flakes for me. It's an excellent source of fiber. I add some raisins and wheat germ, too.
I like oatmeal or hot cereal like Wheateena of Cream of Wheat. I have this as an afternoon snack at about 3:00 when you get that carb craving. At Wild harvest-type stores you can get a huge bag of oats, they are the good kind that don't turn all gluey. I make mine by bringing skim milk almost to a biol, then add the oats and a dash of salt, cook for 1 minute. Yum! I know this sounds gross, but it's even good cold.

I eat frosted shredded mini wheats, plus I have a whey protein shake.
Frosted Mini Wheats or Raisin Bran for me, with skim milk. Then in about 30 minutes I start my workout. Follow that with whey & flax shake, works good for me!
Get my carbs and fiber right off the bat with the cereal! If I just do an egg white omlette I just dont feel good after working out.

I eat oats mixed with All Bran.![]()

As far as cold cereals go, Kellogg's Raisin Bran has always been my favorite. And your colon will thank you the next day two.![]()
Raisin Bran is good. Has anyone tried Vector? I love the stuff.
I mix mini shredded wheat with bran flakes and a sprinkle of honey nut cheerios for flavor (When I eat cereal). I don't do that to often. That's alot of carbs.
Has opinion. Has Hair. Will travel.
What about Cheerios? They pretty much seem a staple in everyday life.
Cheerios don't have much for fiber. If I'm going to have a high carb type cereal then lets get some fiber!
pop tarts and a banana good combo (not really)
Count Chocula!<--after the sugar crash. . .
Yea, how is this stuff, I haven't bought any yet, but have quite the interest for it!Originally posted by Hattrick Has anyone tried Vector? I love the stuff.![]()

It is phenomenally yummy (which could be a bad thing), but it is also overpriced.![]()
Those who trumpet their sufferings are most deserving of misery.
Hmm, thanks animal, I will try it out sometime!

How are grapenuts? Never looked at the box, and don't have one lying around at the moment.
What's with that name anyway - they don't have grapes or nuts in them.
Quaker Oats Oatmeal, cooked not instant. Put a heaping tablespoon of flax in and some cinamin. Sometimes I will add some protein in also. Along with 8 egg whites and two whole eggs. It is good for you but just about the most tasteless breakfast ever.
It does make the chicken breasts look better though.![]()
oatmeal, kamut flakes (just like oatmeal), cream o'wheat, spelt cereal (just like cream o'wheat), quinoa grains, Bob's Red Mill 10 grain cereal: wheat, bran, soy, tricicale, rye, flax and some other good stuff, cracked wheat, rye and flax (a form of Red River Cereal), kashi...
I often mix a few together for different textures and flavors.
Tomorrow's brekkie is spelt cereal, spelt kernels and cracked wheat, rye and flax. I put a little clarified butter, or flax and raw cane sugar or honey.
well i just bought mini-wheats.. only 5gram of protein tho![]()
