fiber also slows digestion (helps to lower the GI meals). it increases insulin sensitivity and lowers both total blood cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol...

There are also some studies that suggest that is can absorb small amounts of dietary fat leading to less calories being absorbed.

Any bean really , at least I think :hmm: I like Red beans best![]()
But if you want alot of fiber , then go with fiber 1 cerealit's got 15G of fiber per 1/2 a cup
Fiber gives your colon something with bulk to push on....eating to little over time can result in colon issues such as diverticulosis and such..... And it does help bind and carry fat away.....
In lamens Dale Mabry would tell you it makes you POOP POOP![]()
Put 1/3 cup (quite a small amount) of All Bran Buds in your morning oatmeal or shake - 10 grams of fiber right there. It's like a lovely bit of Colon Blow first thing in the morning.![]()

Sorry this questions a little unrelated
Should I still be having around 30G of fibre on No Carb days?![]()
I eat tons of veggies on thsoe days but I don't think I get 30G of fibre..
On my low carb days I get around 30G of fibre ...and then on my high carb days I get around 115G of fibre![]()
Unless you have problems than it's only 1 day and I wouldn't worry you are getting alot of fiber in your veggies. However, you can always take a SF fiber supplement.
