    IM Comp diet revision?

Heya everyone...I know the new years is coming up and no one is around but I'll ask my question anyways LOL.

I am currently training for the IM competition and have been doing pretty good so far. I have gone from 178ishlbs to 170lbs since mid november. But I think I may have to lower the cals a tad. Here we go:

    Meal 1-pre w/o
    shake w/ flax
    Meal 2-post w/o
    shake w/ 60g's carbs
    Meal 3
8-10oz's meat w/ 3/4 cups cooked rice or an apple
    Meal 4
8-10oz's meat w/ 3/4 cups cooked rice or an apple
    Meal 5
    8-10oz's meat w/ veggies and efa's
    Meal 6
    8-10oz's meat w/ veggies and efa's

Each meal is about 400cals each.

Lately I have been getting rid of the third carb meal and making it just proteins and fats. Overall cals are roughly 2300. The one thing that concerns me is lately I have been consuming some corn in mixed veggies I have. Tomorrow I hope to go to the supermarket and get some more veggies and such.

I have been doing cardio 4-5 days a week after my weight training.

So once I get my veggies in order....yea yea I know corn is HORRIBLE for you but I'm a broke as college student....so anyways do you think I should lower my cals or maintain with this diet. Or maybe try somethign new? What would you all suggest?

Are you eating anything between your w/o and cardio?

What meat are you eating and what's the fat content?

Looks pretty good to me, I might split the carbs up so you get some carbs prew/o too.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

No I do not eat anything in between lifting and cardio. Just jump right into it b/c of the depleted glycogens and such.

Meat is random...lean beef, lean pork loin, chicken breast, some tuna, now around the holidays there was alot of fresh ham and turkey and fish. The ham isn't the best option but I don't have the money to really go else where for food. Its a cheap way out.

The carbs were mentioned to me by rissole...he said he had great success doing this when he trained first thing in the day.
