hey guys i'm on a ship right now and we are scheduled to eat only 3 times a day. Now I am trying to bulk (not too small but would like to gain a lot more mass) and am wondering how I can go about doing this. Lets see, readily available at every meal is always apples, cantelopes, salad bar, and sometimes oranges. Mostly they serve fried chicken, barbq chicken, tuna casserole, spaghetti, and very occasionally steak. most of the other times its just noodles, and worthless slop. Breakfast is mostly pancakes, bacon, sausage, hard boiled eggs (usually eat about 3 w/o the yoke, should i eat more?),omlettes, and eggs.
I usually eat for breakfast: (i work the night shift, so breakfast would actually be considered dinner for me). 2-3 scrambled eggs, 2 pancakes with syrup, ham and cheese omlette, 3 hard boiled eggs, and 2-3 bowls of cereal. Any recommendations ???? Thanks -Ryan |

Is there anyway you can sneak 2 snacks in between those meals, or eat another large meal?

Is it a cruise ship you work on? Or the navy?
As BigDyl said if you could try to sneak another meal in or two that would be better. Maybe bring like a container and sneak some food in it then just duck off and chow downs. Try some protein bars if at all possible maybe when you get to port. Pop one or two of those a day to keep some food in ya. That def is a big breakfast...I don't really know what to tell you if you can only eat 3 times a day. Just try to eat enough but not to much. If you load to many calories in a meal at once and go to many hours without another you will trigger fat storage. You may be better off limiting the amounts you eat even though you want to gain mass to prevent fat gains. I'd rather gain a small amount of muscle over an extended period of time rather then gaining a ton of fat. |

I don't know if it's the same but a ex work collegue and my cousin have both been in the army here in the UK, both dropped out because it was too tough for them, both end in looking pretty skinny but with shape, and both came out looking much bigger than they came up but looking pretty cut too, they said they consumed shit loads of calories at every meal (they only had three meals a day too), and were pushed harder than they could ever push themselves, and started seeing mass developing. They drank alot of water too.
