    Question Slimfast????

I'm trying to gain mass and having trouble getting calories in a day. For a meal replacement or whenever; can one have a Slimfast? It has 220 calories, 10 gm protein, but has 40 gm carbs, 34 gm sugars. Or just try something else?

Something else. Slimfast = sugar water with soy protein. I'm sure you can find something better. Really, it isn't very difficult. How about eating Top round, with some olive oil and veggies? Oatmeal with egg whites or protein powder? Eliminated sugars except for pre/post-workout.

Even a damn protein bar would be better than that!

if you had the slim fast on top of normal meals it could help you get some extra calories if you dont have time to eat something else. Help you lose weight though if you just had a slim fast instead of a meal.

The idea of slim fast was to have a shake for breakfast/lunch and a "sensible" dinner. Based on that alone, you won't be surpassing 800-1000 calories/day. With the simple principal of cals in vs cals out, theoritically, you will initially lose weight until you come off of the slim fast diet, where, like most diets, the lbs will come back with a vengeance

Slim fast contains sugars, thus spiking insulin, thus inhibiting/slowing fat burning. By adding the unwanted calories to an already hefty calorie surplus (if bulking), you will gain weight, albeit, fat.
