    maltodextrin in cofee

    hello,

    i'm in gain mass program, i always drink 3 times nestle taster's choice nut flavor, this product contains maltodextrin, as i know this is a carb with high GI, so should i stop drink this cofee or i can ignore this?

    Well, it depends on how 'anal' you want to be with your diet. It also depends on how much of the malto is in your coffee (and how many cals it all adds up to) and what you are having it with/when you are having it.

    Personally, I stay away from that type of stuff if I can. But if the level is very low it should not be a problem.

    If you are bulking and you are not too worried then leave it - you have to enjoy life a little! You can always cut the number you have down or cut them out if you find you start to get 'pudgy'.

    But if you are getting 'pudgy' I think you might find the problem is more than just a cup of coffee...

    Add some whey and drink that coffee post workout.

    It is a minute amount. If you were on a strict low carb diet, it may be a factor.

    no, i want to gain mass (but muscle mass not fat mass) so i dont i'm not in low carb diet, whats bother me is the high GI of the maltodextrin in the cofee, because i drink 3 times in day with 1 teaspoon sugar and 1 teaspoon of coffee, so high level of sugar in the blood really bad.
