My carb intake w/ cardio and weight in same day?

Well tomorrow and hopefully soon I will be starting my cardio in the mornings again...then weights in the afternoon.

    I am currently following this:

    meal 1:shake w/ flax (pre-w/o)
    lift
    meal 2:60g's carbs w/ shake
meal 3:30g's carbs w/ protein source
meal 4:either same as meal 3 or efa's replacing carbs.
    meal 5 & 6 prot and efa's.

My question is if I go in and do my cardio on an empty stomach first thing in the morning should I come home and consume a small amount of carbs? Then have my shake right before my w/o then my post w/o carbs and shake.

Does that sound ok? It would look something like this:

    Cardio
meal 1:shake w/ small amount of carbs(pear or something)
    meal 2:shake w/ flax
    weights
    meal 3:shake w/ 60g's carbs
    meal 4:etc etc etc

Hey DB, i think that would be ok, just remember i'm not a qualified nutritionist, i can only tell you what had worked for me when i was cutting.
I was laying off carbs from lunchtime on, so my lunch (m3) was like chicken breast salad and oil, i don't think a small amount will hurt you though. I prolly would just not have anymore after that. Make sure you get some glutamine into you before your cardio

When I do cardio in the am, I usually come home and have my eggs and oats right afterwards.

I do have some carbs post training. I take in anywhere from 90-120 carbs a day. It vary's with my schedual really. I just didn't want to many carbs pre w/o b/c I can't handle em anymore...the make me to sluggish. I'm accustomed to working out without carbs for a few months now so its hard to train that way...but I don't want to screw anything up.

Would you train later on that day as well? I train mon-thur and try to do cardio those days as well so I need to plan my carb intake throughout the day to work around it.

    Today I did as follows:

    AM Cardio -- 1 hour
    meal 1: 2 eggs 4 egg whites 1 pear(10:15am)
    meal 2: pre w/o shake w/ flax(1:15pm)
    workout & 20 minutes cardio
    meal 3: shake w/ oats(60g'scarbs) (4:30pm)
meal 4: tri-o-plex...was running late for job interview(5:00pm)
    meal 5: chicken w/ salad(7:00)
    meal 6: chicken w/ green beans(9:00pm)
***ment to go to sleep but didn't***
    meal 7: 1 cup cottage cheese 1tbl pb 2 sticks celery(1:30am)

So I don't like to train with to many carbs in me pre w/o...it has been working great so far and my bf% has been showing great gains with retaining most if not all of my lbm thus far. So do my meals look decent at least...with regards to the times the carbs were eaten and the types at those times?

I always eat a meal 30-45 minutes after my post w/o shake. I've been doing it for years now. I was always told the body needs nutrition after a work out and b/c the body consumes and uses the calories of the post w/o meal so fast you need another one very soon.

Get up late? I was up at like 7:30am to hit the gym LOL. I am on winter break so I make sure I get my 8 hours of sleep but I am ussually out or at the firehouse till the wee hours of the morning.
