Protein causes cancer?

I have heard people saying that large dosses of whey protein can cause cancer because protein feeds cancer(so does sugar,even more). What do you guys think? Personaly I dont believe this iwll increase my chances of getting cancer.
Infact I have rececntly read articels about studies where whey protein reduce the affects of cancer.

"people" say a lot of things...most don't know their ass from a hole in the ground, let alone something as complex as cancer(s) and cell proliferation..

lolol, thats funny!! And all this time I wondered "why me" when cancer struck!!! It must have been the whey!!lol

Last week, my wife hears that creatine makes someone aggressive ans hostile, I had to hide my tubs!

Actually, according to some reasearches protein, especially whey protein helps cancer patients to get their appetite back

I didnt know that!! I have to be completely honest, during chemo, marijuana helped me get my appetite back! That stuff should be a bulking supplement!lol

As with serious athletes, cancer patients often have reduced glutathione levels and a weakened immune system. Whey protein has been shown through animal and in vitro studies to inhibit the growth of several types of cancer tumors. Dr. Thomas Badger, head of the Arkansas Children's Nutrition Center in Little Rock, found that feeding rats whey protein resulted in their developing 50% fewer tumors than rats fed casein. The rats fed whey protein also developed fewer tumors than rats fed soy protein and the tumors took longer to develop.

Whey causing cancer?

That's about as sensable as saying Jessica Simpson knows how to change oil in a car.

Alright, if Protein causes cancer, we are all dead.....now, if it did, I wouldn't care, cause I'd rather live 60 years looking great than 75 looking like crap....

however, I've heard several things cause cancer, when I stopped listening to what idiots who think they know what causes cancer was when I hear them say that when you cook chicken or a hot dog on the grill, that the black char that gets on your food will cause cancer. Who the hell knows that>?>? Nobody....if they knew what caused cancer, there would be no cancer......

When people say 'cause cancer' they mean it might possible maybe increase the chances of cancer by 1% or less (probably less). I gave up eating sugar subtances (unless from fruits) because I think sugar is the number one cause of cancer so that easly makes up for this myth of protein causing cancer.

Anyone got any facts from a trusted source?...

Bit concerned as I am currently on a high grade whey. I do realise that "they" say most things probably have a link to cancer.

One word...bureacracy.

Any good articles from a trusted source is great thanks in advance.

This just in: The AMA announced today that 'Living' is the leading cause of death worldwide. In fact, they announced that 'Living' has a 100% mortality rate...

Kind of reminds me of the old George Carlin bit where he announced that saliva causes stomach cancer, but only when swallowed in small amounts over long periods of time.

People, we are all dying...just get over it and live TODAY.
