    Question College Newbie Needs Help

Hey guys, i'm new to the boards but I have been reading for a while and it seems like everyone (or at least most everyone) knows what they are talking about. Here's my problem. After reading an earlier thread where a guy posted pics of himself then got ripped a new one by people tired of his BS, I pictured myself in that same situation. So, I want to get off my butt and do something about it but being a freshman college student in a new town, it isn't easy. I'm sure at least some of you on here are also students on a meal plan and have to deal with what we are served. Does anyone have any tips or ideas on how to make an all you can eat buffet healthy besides not eating all I can? I can get healthy snacks no problem but a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner are not easy to figure out. Also, I try and grab a few protien shakes during the day but I quickly learned that the taste sucks. I have GNC Whey Protein powder that is strawberry flavored but I personally can't stand it. Anyone know of a good whey powder that doesn't suck? Thanks for any help in advance.

I'm also a collge freshman and at first thought it was going to be impossible with the bullshit they serve you, but I learned to work with it. Here's my diet...

Meal one - 2 scoops whey, 2 cups water, 1/2 cup oats
Meal two - nat pb + almonds on ww, water
Meal three - skinless Rotissarie chicken, water
Meal four - 2 scoops whey, 2 cups water, 1/2 cup oats
Meal five - ABB carbo force -or- Myoplex MRP
Meal six - Turkey wrap w/ veggies, salad, water
Meal seven - 1 cup cottage cheese, water

I pack a nat pb and almond sandwhich at night b4 i go to bed and during my first break of classes usually around 9am i have time to eat it. That has really helped me because I found that after my first break i'd be starving since I eat my first meal at 6am. The turkey wrap is from the cafeteria, everything else I buy. I spend like $6 a day on the chicken but its worth it seeing as I have limited options. Good luck

Hey man, thanks for the info.....I never thought of the pb and almond thing but it sounds good so I think i'll try it. How do you like the Myoplex MRP? I've seen and heard about them a lot but never tried it.
