Tuna

BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS
High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com
Hi

Tonight I will be starting my workout plan.

When I get back from the gym (around 9:30pm) should I crank open some tuna before going to bed?. I have been told I should not eat past 8pm because your body does not digest food then (or something like that anyways)

Tomorrow lunch time, should I have another tin of tuna, or wait until the evening.

I want to build up.

Thankyou

James

Your metabolism slows as the day progresses but you can still digest food. After 8pm i would recommend that you stick to fats and protien e.g peanut butter and cottage cheese, tuna is also good

Before sleep, opt for a slow digesting protein(ff cottage cheese) and good fats(almonds, flax oil caps, natty pb etc...)About 1/2 to 45 mins b4 you go to bed...

I think just about everyone in this forum will tell you not to go to bed on an empty stomache especially since your trying to bulk up,8 hrs or so is a long time to go without any protien in your system,at least have some CC or protien drink along with some e.f.a.'s

Don't forget the carbs in your PWO meal. Yes, even if it is your bedtime meal you still need carbs PWO. Tuna is not a good choice for PWO, instead go with whey or egg whites.

On your schedule, I'd drink a whey drink the minute you put down the weights, then kill the tuna just before you hit the rack.

Thanks for the replies.

So I'd go to the gym, workout and then drink some protein?.

I am a bit worried about drinking protein shakes because you can put fat on and I am trying to loose fat around my belly.

OK, thanks.

I heard alot of people say that protein drinks can put fat on. I was a little worried about that as I already have a fatty belly.

I am 5, 10
80Kg
34" belly (use to be 32" 3 months ago)

Thanks

James

Just get protein isolate, trace carbs, trace fats, loads of protein. Good stuff. 1 scoop + water is generally around 100 cals+, add in a big banana or some oats and your still less than 300 cals, thats not going to make anyone add on fat.

protein drinks don't put fat on unless your talking about the commercialized weight gainers. You'll be fine.

Good point, all that protein is going toward repairing your muscles, not toward your waist.
