Im not sure if instant is as good as slow-cooking, but the kind you described wouldnt be that good because it has added sugar. I make instant oatmeal because I am always in a hurry but I still get the plain kind. If you really cant stand the taste, add some sugar free syrup or a packet of splenda(artificial sweetner).

I do keep a few packets of the cinnamon roll flavor around for like a cheat meal/snack or something, mix it with regular cereal and milk...
Delicious, taste like oreos and milk. And the best part is its almost completly good for you except for the 12-13 grams of sugar.

Just buy ORGANIC, STEEL CUT, WHOLE GRAIN oatmeal. Do not add anything but water and maybe a small amount of milk, and your good.
