    First WEEK!

Just wanted to say that I made it through my first week on a bulking diet. Doesn't sound like a big deal right? But for me, a sugar addict and junk food junkie, it's an amazing feat to do and NOT cheat even once! Not to mention that I've never been able to stick to anything food-wise for a whole week. Any suggestions on what to do with those little cravings I get for a candy bar? LOL

Thanks for all the great info and support in here.

    Congrads dude.

The easiest way to get rid of cravings is to never be around the food you crave. That makes it ALOT easier. Just surround yourself with good stuff. Although 1 cheat meal a week wont hurt anyone.

Congratulations! (although the real test will start when you have to cut!! )

With your cravings - make sure your diet is well balanced and has enough calories (a poor diet is one of the main reasons for cravings)...

If you want something semi-healthy but sweet you could also have a protein bars (the better options are things such as tri-o-plex)... Or make your own healthy slices/treats..

But you can allow yourself a 'relief' (eg: treat/cheat food) every once and a while. Especially if you are 'bulking'. Most people do once a week, but it is up to you as to how frequently you want them - just don't go overboard!

Your link didn't work, but I can only imagine what the pic was. I've got a very high metabolism and have always eaten whatever I wanted w/out fear of gaining weight. Not that my inside haven't turned to crap b/c of that, but on the outside I'm thin. LOL

Thanks. I tried your idea of a protein bar. I'm at work, so I was sorta stuck with what the Sheetz had, but I got a My-O-Plex something or other that had a little sweet flavor to it. Wasn't bad, and it cut my craving down.

THANKS! It's hard not to be around the foods I crave when they are in my house with my wife and kids, but they are trying to help me as well. As far as 1 cheat meal, well sooner or later I know it'll happen. I just want to see how far my willpower will take me before that time. Not to mention, I want to be sure the meal is worth it!!
