    Additional Weight Loss Ideas

    Hey Guys,

My first post here....I've been checking the site and think it's very informative....even for an old guy like me.

    Here's what I'm up to:

I'm 43 years old......I'm 6 feet tall and started out on this diet a couple of weeks ago at around 235 pounds.

I'm now down to 228 after about two weeks. My goal is to get down to 205.

I have kept in decent shape but want to really get back to top form. For me that means losing about 25 pounds through running and diet.

I've been running 4-5 days a week....doing anywhere from 3-5 miles per day.

I don't want to lift weights.....I tend to bulk up quickly.....my appetite goes off the charts and this usually derails my diet.

I've been eating egg whites, oat meal or yogurt for breakfast.

Salads with lots of kidney beans, chick peas, broccoli, black olives, onions and some tuna or chicken tossed in.

I usually have an afternoon snack of a power bar or some fruit.

I'm trying to eat dinner before 6pm.....and keeping it on the lighter side. But it all revolves around what the family is having for dinner.

So far it's going well and I feel that I can achieve my goal.

Any of advice you can offer would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Joe

    Hey!

Good to see your making progress. I think you're doing everything you need to be doing as you've lost a healthy amount of weight in a good time period. Just keep it up as it will get tougher to stick to your gameplan.

As you get closer to your targeted weight it will get a bit tougher. Than you'll need to adjust and work on it a bit.

Oh but I'd take away the power bar. Those aren't good for losing weight... fruit/vegetable would be a much better snack for you at that time.

Let us know how it goes!
