    Another Bodyfat Question (I'm new)

This is my first post on here, so please don't bite my head off if this is already on here a ton. My question is, if my body fat is lower and my jeans are looser, but my weight on the scale went up, does that mean the extra weight is muscle or water? Obviously it's not fat right?

Well if you are gaining weight yet losing body fat it soundslike you are new to exercise. But yest if your sure you have lost bodyfat and you have maintained a clean diet it is most likely LBM.

Unless when you weighted yourself did you have alot of carbs that day as compared to the previous time you weighted yourself? If so it may just be water weight. Also do you weight yourself every day, once a week, monthly?

Theres actually an online way to tell your BF%. You post a revealing picture of your body (for testing purposes). Then we analyze it using an application that is able to determine bodyfat from examining a 2d picture... too complicated to explain really. We just need a pic.

I was hoping for some serious responses on this site but all I've received are sarcastic comments. I'm just gonna take my size 0 jeans and get the hell out of here.

And the thing BigDyl is talking about, is really something thats been done on forums.
Just do a search on 'guess my bodyfat', and you'll see.

'tough, wanted to say one more thing: if you're sure 2 have lost fat, than you've gaind Lean Body Mass, so to know: Human muscle is made up of nearly 70% water & 30% tissue (sports science research) ...

If ther scale went up and youre sure you lost BF then its muscle. Shouldn't worry so much about what the scale says, more on how you look in the mirror and how your clothes fit.

Seriously, you didn't receive any smart ass comments, get your panties out of your ass and if you are already a size 0 then what exactly is your goal? How old are you? What's your weight/height?

    I'm 30 years old. I'm 5'3" and I weigh 103. I'd like to get down to 12% body fat. I am currently at 14.5%.

Sounds like you need to lift heavier and gain some weight from the muscle.

If your really 14.5 that would put your LBM at 88 lbs. THAT IS NOT HEALTHY.

Myself I am 5'2 and compete at 117 with about 8% which puts my LBM around 110.
    See where I am going??...

Who the hell tested your bf? Or are you guessing? Also do you have eatting issues? And don't think I am being mean here.....

I find it hard to imagine 14.5% on someone who only weighs 103.
