What should I do if this happens.......?

    Hello,

I am wondering what to do in a situation when we end up waking up late, say 2-4 hours later then normal?
What this does is throws off the whole day for the eating schedule. If we wake up late, it's hard to meet our required calories, and even harder to get 6 evenly spaced out meals, because we still have to go to bed around the same usual time in order to wake up early enough for the next day.

So my question is, should we still eat 6 meals, of the same required calories, but just space them out sooner or closer together?

    For instance, lets say our usual eating schedule is every 2-1/2 hours, from 8am to 8pm, i.e.....8, 10:30, 1, 3:30, 6, 8:30.
Now, if we wake up, say 3 hours late, that leaves us only 9 or 10 hours to get the 6 meals in.

So is it o.k. to space the meals every hour to an hour and a half, or will this hurt our motabolism and make things worse?

What would you do in this situation?

Thank you all for your time and help!

If it were me, I'd just skip the meal I missed while sleeping late. Missing one meal isn't gonna kill you. Just make sure it doesn't happen very often...

Whenever this happens to me, I just skip that first meal except for the protein. Say the meal you skipped contained 30 grams of protein, just space that extra protein out over your other 5 meals.

That's what I suggest as well.
