    Need some help- non professional

I posted a while back about how maybe I can get a littel leaner and more ripped before attending a reunion (involving a pool party) in 6 weeks.
I've been working out with weights for quite some time (10 years) and have a good solid build for a small guy- I just wanna know without getting too crazy some general guidelines for eating in the coming weeks to maximize appearance.
I've read some of the stuff posted and I'm not entering a competition- Just want to take what I have and enhance it with diet and maybe even show a little 6 pack- ANyone have anything for the non-competitor like me?
