You shouldn't take weight gainer, it's mostly simple sugars. When I bulk I go for 1.5 grams of protein 2-3 grams of carbs.

When you are bulking, you aim for as much as you can get. I am probably taking in over 2g of protein per pound of body weight and taking in a ton of carbs. As far as carbs, you want to try to take in good, complex carbs throughout the day like oatmeal, brown rice, whole grain breads, whole grain pastas, whole grain cereals, and veggies. You want make sure you get plenty of simple sugars (60-100g) in your post workout meal. I usually use a banana and some honey to achieve that. I also go for as many calories as I can get. I havn't taken the time to add them all up, but I am sure that I am getting at least 4-5k a day. You need to throw in random junk too. You are bulking, have fun with it. I randomly throw in an entire frozen pizza with a meal as an extra or a grilled PB sandwich. Try eating PB & jelly sandwiches between meals too. Eat a decent amount of cottage cheese right before bed and/or another PB sandwich.

Banana's and honey are poor choice for spiking, both low on the GI. Although very ripe banana's are an acceptable throw in. Fructose refills liver glycogen, PWO you need muscle glycogen filled. Go with a combination of dextrose and malto

He never said he wanted to spike his insulin though...those are just carbs that he chose post w/o. Liver glycogen is used in the muscles as soon as they are depleted. Depending on your activities depends on how fast those stores are depleted. Once the muscle glycogen is gone it search's for more and the liver is what stores it....this is because the msucles can't produce enough fast enough for our bodies so they need to have a surplus somewhere else. I always liked complex carbs and whey...always worked great for me.

I wouldn't recomend a spike if you don't know your body well enough to see if it helps or not.

The rule actualy says at least those values. I've been on a bulking diet for almost a month now. I've been eating 2.2g carbs/lbs, 1.6g prot/lbs, 0.43g fat/lbs, totaling 3.2k kal/day. I am very happy with the results so far, gaining 8lbs in a month. Even thou I am on 1-AD cycle @ 300mg/day.
Also for your information, you should have at least 0.4g fat/body lbs.

    Your bulking bro just eat!!!

If you want keep it clean to minimize fat gains but just be sure to take in plenty of cals to grow. Last bulk I was on I managed 7k calories a day clean....I was only bout 165lbs or so(worse mistake of my life!!). Start slow and icrease your cals by a few hundred every week or when you stop see'ing gains.

    worse mistake of my life
What was, eating that much or being 165lbs?
What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)

Negative....you still follow the same rules as always simply add more calories. Some people prefere eating every 2 hours some 3 and some every 4. Its all personal preference.

My first bulk I ate what ever and when ever I wanted all day long...just ate like an animal. I enjoyed it while it lasted but I didn't like the fat I put on...from now on its clean strict bulks with bulks.

I have been eating every 1 1/2- 2 hours. It does help to keep your metabolism going, but it makes it easier to get everything in. If you only eat 3 big meals every day, you can't get in all of the food that you can with a ton of smaller meals.

Theres no need to eat every 1.5 thats just pointless. Your body can't digest food that fast so there is no reason to eat that often.

6 smaller meals is better then 3 large ones but it doesn't mean you can't eat the same amount of calories for the day. That depends on the person...I know I could eat the same amount of calories whether it be in 3 or 6 meals.

How bad is it to eat around 5 meals a day, but one of them is a massive meal? Like example: first 2 meals are around 400 cals meal 3 is like 2000 and then meals 4 and 5 are like 400.

Why the hell would you do that? Just make them all even or your metabolism is gonna be all outta wack bc its not use to all those calories.
