Question what foods shouldn't be eaten

i know that you can't get enough protien, so meats are the best to eat. but when weight lifting to bulk up, are there any foods i should stay away from? also i would like to know of some diets that could help me out.
    thanks

i know that nitrates turn into nitrites during digestion. nitrites somhow become carcinogenic and I believe it can also do something to hinder the way your blood carries oxygen.
