    08.00am - 3 weatabix
    11.00am - 4 whole eggs and tuna
14.00pm - tuna pasta and 4 whole eggs
18.00pm - general tea (Chips, Sausage ect)
    23.00pm - 3 weatabix

i'm finding it hard though - i've also purchased free weights and started to train 3 times a week

    How tall are you?

112lbs, wow, that was my girlfriend's weight, and she was 5'7".

Well, your diet is definaltey a start...You realise that you are going to have to lift heavy? and rather then doing some odds free weights at home your progress will be much quicker at a normal gym.

    Bulking w/ Slow Burners

Read that...its obvious you will have to Tweak it, beause that is for someone who is 180 going to 195.

    What are your goals?
That diet is pretty horrible no matter what

    few things:
protein at meal 1 is required (eggs/whey etc)
meal 2 needs carbs and veges (preferably) and less whole eggs (4 whole eggs is 16-20g of fat)
meal 3 - now that's too many whole eggs, tuna pasta is not bad but needs veges
    meal 4 -
meal 5 - nope. you need protein and healthy fats here, some carbs are OK depending on your goals.
What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)

Ok - as the others have said, unless you are 5' and female then 112 pounds is really tiny! How tall are you? What is your age?

I would not really bother about following a particular 'program' just eat right and train hard!

I used to eat dinner and tea and now i'm having five meals a day just need to know if what i'm eating is ok

    08.00am - 3 weatabix
    11.00am - 4 whole eggs and tuna

Ok - You should certainly read the sticky up the top of the page 'guide to cutting, bulking and maintaining'.

Now, if you want to seriously pack on mass you have to look at the calorie dense, highly nutritious foods - that means:
carbs - whole/rolled grains, whole wheat pasta, skim milk, sweet potato

protein - lean red meats/game meats, eggs

    fats - nuts, oils, seeds

    So consider trying something like:

    08.00am - Oatmeal and omlette
0.75c scotch oats (like oatmeal only more energy)
with 0.5 banana & 0.5 cups skim milk
Scrambled eggs - 1 whole egg, 5 egg whites.
    2 fish oil caps

    11.00am - Home-made meal replacer shake
    1 cup skim milk
    0.75 cup oats
    1 scoop whey
    1 tbs PB

    14.00pm - tuna pasta
    4 oz tuna
1.5 cup whole wheat pasta (cooked)
    1 cup mixed vegetables
    2 fish oil caps

    18.00pm - Dinner
    4 oz lean red meat
    300g cooked sweet potato
    1 cup mixed vegetables
    2 fish oil caps

    23.00pm - prebed
    1 cup 1% cottage cheese
    0.5 cups mixed berries
    1 tbs almond butter

Then, after your workout make sure you throw in a post-workout shake (in addition to the above meals) which would could be something like:
    1 cup skim milk
    1 scoop whey
    1 banana

    5'9 AND 112!!!

Argggg.... My god. Just eat my' boy!! I would not really bother about specific ratio's and the like. Just get some GOOD QUALITY CALORIES in! I'm serious - if it is moving slow enough for you to catch it then chow down. That is seriously unhealthy to be that weight at your height!

That guy, Anthony Ellis actually did the 'Body For Life' program by Bill Phillips. I have the book and his pics are on the inside front cover. the SAME pics that are on his site. IMO, i dont think he got that bulky on BFL alone. I am sure he took some supps.

Like Emma suggested, right now dont focus too much on any complex routine. Just eat and keep it simple. You could try a 3 day/week split like legs, push, pull. Or if you are a total newbie, even a total body wo 2x or 3x a week (for a short period) would give you results. But to grow, you need to feed the body. Read the sticky 'guide to.....' for a LOT of great info for your diet.

How is that unhealthy? I used to be that small, and I know some other kids at my school are that size. I was healthy, according to my doctor.

You have to look at the big (diet) pic. I take 4 caps/day. However i also eat 1oz(~28g) walnuts + 2tbsp ground flax seeds. So the FOC's are not my only source of EFA's. According to Jodi's sticky, you need 1-2 tbsp EFA's/day. So, count your EFA's by looking at your entire daily diet to judge how much do you are getting.

I take 10 in one sitting usually. I take anywhere from 20-30 a day.

    You're joking right?

    112 pounds = 51kg
    5'9 = 175cm

    BMI = 16.6

HEALTHY BMI is anything >18.5!! (for BB the higher value is often a moot figure due to increased muscle mass in comparison to the general public... but the lower figure still stands).

    112 pounds is a good weight for a 5'2 female, NOT a 5'9 male.

    Hi all

reading through all the posts and i have to agree with ihateschoolmt, i also went to the doctors recently for patches to give up smoking (Wednesday 23rd Feb) - i haven't had a fag since on the hopes to gain more weight, and my doctor said i was a healthy weight and would put weight on naturally and it was who i am, but i do feel i'm underweight and want to put on weight (i would be happy at 150 - 160 pounds.

    cheers

I guess your doc is going by the BMI. This is more for couch potatoes. If you are physically active, you need to increase your mass.

Low body mass index, physical work capacity and physical activity levels
In a normal population the distribution of body mass index (BMI) is such that a certain proportion of the population is likely to be at low values without necessarily being malnourished. However, although they may have low BMIs without being malnourished, they could certainly be physiologically and physically disadvantaged. An attempt is made to dissect out the probability of work capacity and physical activity being influenced by changes occurring in the human body with diminishing BMI.

The conclusion reached is therefore that before physical activity is affected, the BMI would probably have to be 17 or less, although it is possible that work capacity might be reduced before this level is reached. In any case, work requiring the use of the body mass - such as carrying loads, digging or shovelling earth or coal, pulling or cycling a rickshaw, stone splitting etc. - would impose a greater stress on people of low BMI.
