    new to cutting

hey guys new kid here 16 years old, ive been training for about a year and a half and in about 6 weeks id like to cut about 5-6% bf and i was lookin for some help. when i was 15 in the summer going into 10th grade i lost about 50 lbs but i really didnt do that the right way... then after i got thinner i found the seceret to faster muscle gain, EATING A LOT! woo whoo! so yeah ive put on a lot of muscle but also a little fat in the process, im not too big on the math involved in dieting but i will do it if i have to. i was wondering if i could get sum frame tips on how to lean up. also time is no thing im only 16 and i have all the time in the world, so id like to do this the right way so that i can do it periodically (im going to start bulking/cutting) even if it takes a while. thanks a lot guys help is much appreatiated.

also i know this is the diet section but training methods of cutting are also much appreatiated, right on.

i also had another thought, what if i like ate at maintinance calories, and then did like a run for a half hour in the morning before i eat breakfast? do you think this could be productive in muscle building/loss of body fat? i could also tweak my normal eating habbits to include less fats. is this acceptable?

You MUST eat in the morning before any exercise about 1-2 hours prior if you eat solid food, if that is a prob, then do a shake (oats+whey) 45 mins prior. Your body has been in an unfed state for several hours during the night. In order to get energy for exercise, your body will break down the most ready source of energy, which are your muscles, if there is no other source of energy in your gut.

Doing exercise in that state will result in weight loss i.e. loss of fat AND muscle. And all that will happen is you will get skinnier.

running ... muscle building = no. loss of fat = yes.

You do need certain amount of good fats. The sticky that was pointed out earlier has this info.

Post your diet meal by meal with total cals and macros for a critique.
